The National Junior Honor Society at St. Aidan School has just completed an immensely successful drive to collect new white socks. They formed committees, made posters to promote  the drive, and kept a bar graph chart of their collections from grades K through 8.
At the end of May, they had accumulated over 2000 pairs of white socks, and bagged them. Half of them were delivered to Shannon Boyle, director of New Ground, which is associated with the INN in Hempstead. She will see that they are dispersed to shelters, needy, and various organizations that she deals with. The remainder were given to our Parish Social Ministry Office, which services many Veterans' groups, hospitals, and other sources that are in need. Photographs were taken of the students and the huge bags of socks.
The Honor Society is extremely proud of their accomplishment!
