St. Joseph's new athletic complex to be unveiled
The new St. Joseph’s College athletic complex will be unveiled at a noon ceremony Friday.
The $14-million complex in East Patchogue, a mile from the school’s Patchogue campus, sits on a 24.8-acre site south of Sunrise Highway, between Phyllis Drive and Hospital Road.
The complex includes fields for baseball, softball, lacrosse and soccer, and tennis courts. It has 1,500-person capacity bleacher seating, and a stadium.
St. Joseph’s College president, Sister Elizabeth Hill, Rep. Tim Bishop (D-Southampton) and Patchogue Mayor Paul Pontieri are scheduled to attend.
