New York State has won its battle against an East End pet shelter.
Attorney General Eric Schneiderman says his office won a temporary restraining order against Precious Pups in Calverton.
He says it bans the not-for-profit pet shelter from offering any dogs for sale or adoption.
Schneiderman says his office received numerous complaints that dogs were often very sick. Precious Pups has claimed the dogs were healthy and had been checked by a vet.
