State education commissioner heads to Washington
New York's Education Commissioner John King is heading to Washington.
King is going to work with the Obama administration as a senior adviser to the U.S. secretary of education.
King has been New York's top education official for three years, and helped implement the controversial Common Core curriculum.
King will step down in three weeks.
