Assemb. Dan Losquadro will participate in a program Thursday on Internet safety at a Shoreham middle school.

The program, at Albert G. Prodell Middle School, will include presentations from seventh-grade student council members on subjects such as online predators, cyberbullying and social networking, according to a statement about the event.

Losquadro (R-Shoreham) will “discuss responsible Internet use” and then take questions, the statement said.

The program is part of Cablevision’s Power To Learn Internet Smarts program, which provides an avenue for teachers and parents to communicate with students about safe Internet use, the statement said. Cablevision owns Newsday.

The 10:15 a.m. event is open to seventh-graders at the school, which is on Randall Road.
