State semifinal matchups

Baldwin will play Cicero-North Syracuse on Friday at 8 p.m. at Hudson Valley Community College in Troy in a state Class AA semifinall. Cicero-North Syracuse (20-2) defeated Shaker, 63-34, this afternoon. Breanna Stewart, the state's Gatorade Player of the Year and a 6-3 junior, scored 22 points. The team shot 27-for-28 from the free-throw line.

Stewart is averaging 24.4 points, 11.2 rebounds, 5.4 blocks, 3.6 assists and 3 steals per game and has committed to UConn.

Garden City will play Averill Park (12-11) in the state Class A semifinals at 3:15 p.m. Friday in Troy. Averill Park is the defending state champions.
