Best bet: PENJADE (8)
Best value: BENNY BIG BOY (10)
FIRST: Hardrock Eleven was a front-end winner over the Spa jumps last time. Special Skills also won over the Saratoga fences last out; dangerous. Miguel Grau is right in the thick of this on “A” game.
SECOND: Hisaabaat gets Lasix for stateside debut; rates close call. Scorpiancer holds razor-sharp current condition. Schoodic makes peak start of form cycle.
THIRD: Littlemissbusiness tallied swift late-pace figure when winning second in a row last time. Catsadiva notched fast internal and final numbers when winning debut; dangerous. Mastic has won two straight; right in the thick of this.
FOURTH: Divine Cause logged solid final fraction in debut; needs scratches to get in. Lover’s Key gets the meds and moves to grass; wake-up potential. Super Mama moves to turf for Chad Brown; need more? Scatter Point notched three tight works since last start; very interesting.
FIFTH: Making Havoc is speedy and drops; controlling front-runner. Lady Paradime runs late and could be in the garden spot if top selection hits the wall in the lane. Zeven makes first start since claimed by David Jacobson; must respect.
SIXTH: Saratoga Charlie moves to turf after front-running second in last; transfers form. Slapstick packs solid late kick but has failed as the favorite in last two starts; you’ve been warned. Colonel Andy was a tough-trip second in last; worth long look.
SEVENTH: Tizza Temper was just a nose behind a next-out winner when a late-running third in debut; crisp half-mile work last week seals the deal. Filly Madison is fleet-footed and could play out as the controlling front-runner if able to escape AE list. High Jingo was a tough-trip fourth in same last race as top selection and fired an eye-catching 5-furlong work in the interim; very playable. Karen Kan is training swiftly for debut for Danny Gargan; follow the money.
EIGHTH: Penjade tallied improved late-pace figure when a solid second in last; more to give. Half Irish is speedy and can prove very tough on an uncontested lead. Llanita was a clear-cut maiden winner in last; right in the thick of this.
NINTH: Born for a Storm notched three tight works since decisive maiden score in last; pairs up wins. Diversify set sizzling splits when a front-end winner in debut; very playable. Manipulated has earned solid numbers in all four starts; logical.
10TH: Benny Big Boy was a tough-trip fifth in well-bet debut on the Fourth of July; ready for return. Giant Rocks is riding a forward line on the numbers and moves to turf for Mike Maker; all systems go. Silky Way is from a dam that has thrown two grass winners; stay tuned to the tote.
