Stories to follow: Bay Shore shooting, snow on the way

There's snow in our immediate future -- and a warning about potentially slippery road conditions at present -- as the day begins, the National Weather Service said Friday. Forecasters said residents in Nassau and Suffolk can expect upward of five inches of snow from a storm expected to hit early Saturday morning, though accumulations won't last long -- since temperatures are expected to climb into the upper 30s on Sunday and into the upper 40s on Monday. -- JOHN VALENTI
