ISLIP TOWN
Islip Pines hearing. The Islip Town board will hold a change of zone public hearing  at 7:30 p.m. Thursday in Town Hall to consider, among other proposals, a controversial application for a 136-acre, mixed-use development in Holbrook called Islip Pines. The proposal calls for 250 one- and two-bedroom apartments, 450,000 square feet of retail space and 1.3 million square feet of commercial-industrial space.
