Heavily armed teams of FBI agents and Nassau County police fanned out across Nassau, Suffolk, Queens and Brooklyn at dawn Tuesday, seeking to arrest at least 20 members of what was described as a major ring supplying large quantities of heroin for sale on Long Island, according to sources familiar with the operation. -- ROBERT KESSLER AND JOHN VALENTI
