Budget Hearing: Nassau County’s final legislative budget hearing will be held today at 11 a.m. There is also an evening session at 6 p.m. The hearings will be held at the Theodore Roosevelt Executive and Legislative Office Building (1550 Franklin Ave., Mineola), and are open to the public. Glen Cove
Pumpkin Carving: Divers from around Long Island will gather Sunday at 1:15 p.m. at Pryibil Beach in Glen Cove (northern terminus of East Beach Road) for the annual underwater pumpkin carving contest.
