After toxic leak, students returning to Kings Point academy
Some of the more than 40 students hospitalized after a water heater leaked carbon monoxide in a building at the U.S. Merchant Marine Academy in Kings Point began returning to the school early Monday morning, a hospital spokeswoman said. -- Gary Dymski and Emily C. Dooley

Tax-cap override. The Village of Flower Hill trustees will meet at 8 p.m. Monday at Village Hall, 1 Bonnie Heights Rd., Manhasset. The board is scheduled to hold two public hearings -- one on overriding the new 2 percent state cap on local tax levies and another on benefits for trustees.
