Money Matters: Officials will hold a work session on the 2011-12 budget today at 10 a.m. at Town Hall (655 Main St.). Town board members and department heads will be part of the discussions. The public is invited to attend. The town board will hold its regular meeting at 2 p.m., also in Town Hall. Smithtown

Riverhead
Construction Hearing: The Riverhead Town Board will meet today at 2 p.m. in Town Hall (200 Howell Ave.). On the agenda is a hearing on a proposal that would require a public hearing on every preliminary site plan for new construction or renovation being sought by a commercial business in the town.
