Hempstead Town
Budget hearings: The Hempstead Town Board will hold budget hearings Tuesday at 2:30 and 7 p.m. at the Nathan L.H. Bennett Pavilion (adjacent to Hempstead Town Hall, 1 Washington St.). Riverhead
Bond vote: The Riverhead school district will hold a referendum Tuesday on a $78.3-million bond for school renovations. Polls are open from 6 a.m. to 9 p.m. See Mitchell Freedman’s updates at newsday.com.
Huntington
Board meeting: The Huntington Town Board meets at 6 p.m. Tuesday at Town Hall (100 Main St.). The agenda includes a public hearing on the proposed budget for 2012.
