Amar'e on Broadway

As the Knicks continue to court Amar'e Stoudemire, the power forward courted Broadway last night. Clad in a dark jacket, scarf and Yankees cap in the sweltering summer heat, Stoudemire saw the stage musical "Rock of Ages" at the Brooks Atkinson Theatre on West 47th Street.

The free agent made a quick entrance and merely smiled when asked to speak about a possible contract.

Timothee Chalamet, 14, with an Allan Houston Knicks jersey in tow, came to see one of his idols after Stoudemire tweeted his intention to see the play. "He kinda nodded and said, 'What's good, man?' . . . I think he'll be here. He will be here."
