Strasburg K's 13, Harper homers in Nats' win
Six Mariners pitchers combined on a no-hitter Friday night as host Seattle beat the Los Angeles Dodgers, 1-0.
Kevin Millwood pitched the first six innings before leaving with an injury. Charlie Furbush, Stephen Pryor, Lucas Luetge, Brandon League and Tom Wilhelmsen finished up, with Wilhelmsen getting Andre Ethier on a grounder to second to end it.
Nationals 7, Red Sox 4: Stephen Strasburg struck out 13 in six innings and Bryce Harper hit a two-run homer for visiting Washington. Harper also had an RBI single in the sixth. Strasburg (7-1) threw a career-high 119 pitches and finished a strikeout shy of his career high.
Phillies 9, Orioles 6: Shane Victorino homered and drove in five runs as visiting Philadelphia ended a season-worst six-game losing streak. The Orioles lost for the ninth time in 12 games.
Rays 5, Marlins 1: Matt Joyce homered and scored three runs for visiting Tampa Bay.
Braves 4, Blue Jays 3:Jason Heyward stole third base and scored on catcher J.P. Arencibia's throwing error in the 10th inning as host Atlanta won its fifth straight.
Angels 7, Rockies 2: Torii Hunter had two homers and six RBIs for visiting Los Angeles. C.J. Wilson (7-4) struck out nine in eight innings.
Reds 6, Tigers 5: Wilson Valdez's squeeze bunt with one out in the 10th inning won it for host Cincinnati.
Indians 6, Cardinals 2: Johnny Damon hit a two-run homer and Michael Brantley extended his hitting streak to 16 for visiting Cleveland.
Astros 8, White Sox 3: Visiting Houston hit three home runs, including a three-run blast by Brian Bogusevic.
Twins 8, Cubs 7:Josh Willingham's RBI single in the 10th lifted host Minnesota.
Pirates 4, Royals 2: Neil Walker went 3-for-4 with an RBI for host Pittsburgh.
Brewers 9, Padres 5: Corey Hart hit two homers for host Milwaukee.-- AP
