Suffolk GOP's new neighbor? Candidate Altschuler
Suffolk Republican chairman John Jay LaValle has made no secret of his loathing of congressional contender Randy Altschuler.
So it was a big surprise when the party's new Holtsville office and Altschuler's campaign headquarters ended up across the street from one another.
"It's just a coincidence," said Rob Ryan, Altschuler spokesman. "We were just looking for the best price," when they learned of the party move last month, he said.
But, Ryan added, "We think it's great. It'll be that much easier after Randy becomes the nominee to coordinate with the county committee."
Altschuler and others seek the nomination for the 1st Congressional District seat now held by Rep. Tim Bishop (D-Southampton).
