This list could look a whole lot different next week depending on what happens in several key games.

The big one, of course, is Wednesday night’s showdown between West Islip and Ward Melville on the Patriots’ turf at 6:30. Two good defenses might make for a low-scoring game. At the same time, Sachem North hosts Smithtown West in what most likely will be a high-scoring affair matching two potent offenses. All four of these teams are playoff bound in Division I-Class A, but they are all playing for a more favorable seed.

That’s also the case in Division II-Class B on Saturday at 2 p.m. when Comsewogue hosts Shoreham-Wading River in a clash of unbeaten teams.

Zog’s Top 10

  1. West Islip (9-0)
  2. Ward Melville (7-0)
  3. St. Anthony’s (6-1)
  4. Sachem North (7-2)
  5. Smithtown West (6-2)
  6. Comsewogue (7-0)
  7. Shoreham-Wading River (7-0)
  8. East Islip (8-1)
  9. Connetquot (6-2)
  10. Eastport-South Manor (7-1)
