The Kings Park summer concert series will begin Friday night at Russ Savatt Park.

The first of the six shows in the series will feature Acoustic 5, with Gary Pumilia. The band, which plays music from the 1960s through the present, is scheduled to perform at 7 p.m. Friday at the park, on Main Street.

Other shows in the series will feature The Paul Henry Duo on July 8, Nick of Time with Ron Vulpis on July 22, acoustic singer-songwriters Joanne Amante and Frank Walker on Aug. 5, Glenn Baldwin and Friends of Jazz on Aug. 19 and country-blues band The Hillsiders on Aug. 26.

All the concerts are free. The shows are sponsored by the Kings Park Civic Association and the Kings Park Chamber of Commerce.
