SUNY Chancellor Nancy Zimpher is meeting today with representatives from Long Island’s SUNY colleges and universities.
The meeting follows Zimpher's recent announcement of a new strategic plan for the system. The plan, dubbed "The Power of SUNY," calls for schools in the system to serve as engines of economic development in the state.
Representatives from SUNY Old Westbury, Stony Brook University, Farmingdale State College and Suffolk and Nassau community colleges are scheduled to be at the meeting, which is being held at Old Westbury.
