Torch song

Cary Williams had his "Welcome to the NFL moment" early in his second season.

The now-Ravens cornerback played for the Titans in 2009 and had the unenviable task of covering Randy Moss. Back then, Moss was a New England Patriot, catching go routes from Tom Brady.

"[Moss] hit me on a flea-flicker; Brady threw a great pass, he made a great play," Williams said of one of the three touchdown catches Moss had that day. "You can't sleep on Randy at all. He's a guy who can get over the top on you at any given moment."

Moss is now with the 49ers. He will face Williams Sunday.

Bisciotti avid golfer

Steve Bisciotti, 52, was a minority owner when Art Modell hoisted the Lombardi Trophy after the Ravens routed the Giants in January 2001. Bisciotti has been the Ravens' majority owner since 2004, and it seems as though everyone's primary insights about the man come from the golf course.

"He wants to get 18 holes in every day," general manager Ozzie Newsome said.

Baseball great Cal Ripken Jr.: "You can see the screw turn a little tighter in his head when the match gets a little close or he feels he's not playing well enough."

Former Maryland men's basketball coach Gary Williams: "He's not crazy like me. But he's very competitive."

Bisciotti, who cofounded the technology staffing firm Aerotek in 1983, has an estimated net worth of $1.6 billion and is No. 913 on Forbes' list of world billionaires.
