The Adelphi NY Statewide Breast Cancer Program is offering a support group for men with breast cancer, beginning later this month.

The group tentatively will start on Jan. 28 and will meet for eight weeks on Monday evenings from 7 to 8:30.

The group will be a place to find support, learn from others and share the unique concerns of men facing breast cancer, organizers said.

There is no cost to join the group, which will meet at Adelphi University School of Social Work, on 1 South Ave. in Garden City.

Preregistration is required. For information, call counseling coordinator Sandi Kafenbaum at 516-877-4314.

The breast cancer program, established in 1980, provides information and support to breast cancer patients, their families and friends. For more information, call the hotline at 800-877-8077 or visit adelphi.edu/nysbreastcancer.
