Symphonic band to perform free Bay Shore concerts

The Symphonic Band of Bay Shore-Brightwaters is scheduled to perform a series of free summer concerts this month, officials said.
The concert series “Summertime in the Park,” sponsored by the Chamber of Commerce of Greater Bay Shore and the Bay Shore Business Improvement District, is scheduled to hold its inaugural concert tonight at 7:30 at the Band Shell Performing Arts Center at Dr. George S. King Park, on Main Street at Park and Ocean avenues in Bay Shore.
Three additional concerts, featuring classics, show tunes and pop music, are scheduled for July 17, 24 and 31 at the same time and location. For information, call the chamber of commerce at 631-665-7003.
