For the first time, the annual St. Edward the Confessor Parish Festival in Syosset has fireworks on its schedule.

The festival begins Thursday in the north parking lot of the Syosset LIRR station, adjacent to the Syosset Fire Department. It will run from 6  to 11 p.m. Thursday and Friday, 2  to 11 p.m. on Saturday and 2 to 10 p.m.  Sunday.

Live music will start every evening at 7:30 p.m. Special attractions include a classic car show Friday from 7  to 9 p.m., and the fireworks Saturday at 9:30 p.m.
