The basement window at the home on Birchwood Park Drive in Syosset was unlocked, Nassau County police said.

So John Chung, 17, of 11 Lincrest St., Syosset, entered through that window - and took a wallet from a bedroom, according to police, who said Chung then exited through a side door.

Police called Chung "an acquaintance of a resident of Birchwood Park Drive" and said he was "observed in the house by a family member."

Now he's under arrest, charged with second-degree burglary, police said. He is scheduled to be arraigned Wednesday in First District Court in Hempstead.

Police did not say how much money was in the wallet.
