Syosset vodka mogul set for Jets' win

Long Island vodka mogul Martin Silver is already planning for a Jets football victory.
Silver, president of Syosset-based Star Distributors, which dispenses Georgi vodka, is packing 10 cases of his company's Green Apple vodka into a green van he calls The Green Machine, and will head for Heinz Field in Pittsburgh for the AFC playoff game Sunday night. The Jets, whose colors are white and green, are known as Gang Green.
"It's all to support the Jets," Silver said hours before his scheduled trip. "We're all Jets fans here."
Silver said he plans to park in the stadium lot and hand out free pregame samples of his vodka - but only to Jets fans. "We know there will be a couple of thousand [Jets fans] there," Silver said. "The Jets are all wound up. They're going to take it all."
