The meeting will be at the North Merrick Library, 1691 Meadowbrook Rd., at 3:30 p.m. The panel will discuss how to safeguard children and crossing guards, and help keep a safe flow of traffic at school crossings along the busy avenue.
The panel will be led by North Merrick Library president Bill Pezzullo and North and Central Merrick Civic president Claudia Borecky.
Panel participants will include Nassau County Legislators Dave Denenberg (D-Merrick) and Norma Gonsalves (R-East Meadow), North Merrick Schools Superintendent David Feller, Merrick Schools Superintendent Dominick Palma and Nassau County Police Commanding Officer Inspector Michael Studdert of the First Precinct, organizers said.
