Tax exemption workshop Friday in Bellmore

Nassau County Legis. Dave Denenberg (D-Merrick) will present a taxpayer assistance program at 1 p.m. Friday in the Bellmore Memorial Library, 2288 Bedford Ave.
Residents will learn about several tax exemptions, including STAR (School Tax Reduction), enhanced STAR, home improvement, and limited income and disability. exemptions for senior citizens, veterans and volunteer firefighter and emergency medical technicians will also be discussed.
Taxpayers can pick up or drop off their applications. Exemption specialists will provide assistance and answer questions.
