It's late, but it could be great.

The United States basketball team's Olympic roster was released Saturday, nearly three weeks after it was scheduled to be made public. James Harden, Andre Iguodala and Blake Griffin were the last additions to the 12-man roster in advance of the London Games.

"The final selections keep us in concert with our game plan to have athleticism, versatility and strong depth on our roster," USA Basketball chairman Jerry Colangelo said in a news release. "I think our final roster epitomizes all of that."

NBA MVP LeBron James headlines the squad, after injuries to likely participants Derrick Rose, Dwight Howard, Dwyane Wade and Chris Bosh left team organizers scrambling to find 12 players to send to London.(Michael Cunniff)
