With heavy rain and blustery winds forecasted to hammer Long Island throughout the weekend, the community St. Patrick's Day parades scheduled for Saturday and Sunday may feel the effects.

As of Friday, only Westhampton Beach had moved its parade date, to Mar. 27. However, other parades including the Bay Shore-Brightwaters St. Patrick's Day parade, were expected to go on as scheduled.

If you choose to brave the wet weather to "go green" and head to one of the Long Island parades this weekend, let us know how it goes, and e-mail us your photos! Or, if your parade ends up getting rained out, post here to alert other Long Islanders.
