Senior swingman Terry Harris scored 35 points to lead Half Hollow Hills West in their League IV opener at Kings Park.

Hills West head coach Bill Mitaritonna said Harris "shot exceptionally well," and "carried" the team to victory.

The visitors took a 16-4 lead during the first quarter, thanks in large part to their defense.

"The defense set the tone," Mitaritonna said, adding that "pressure defense led to easy baskets."

Hill West also got a boost from Jaylin Montalvo, who scored 11 points off the bench.

Jordan Finzel led Kings Park with 15 points.
