'Shore' star charged with annoyance

Nicole "Snooki" Polizzi will face a new charge stemming from her behavior at a Seaside Heights, N.J., beach last month, one that might not surprise viewers of "Jersey Shore" or followers of pop culture: annoying people. Prosecutors said at a hearing Wednesday that they will add the charge, according to The Associated Press. An attorney for the MTV reality show cast member entered a plea of not guilty on her behalf to the charge and two others, disorderly conduct and creating a public nuisance.

Michael Lohan could be free of charges

Harassment charges filed against Michael Lohan after he allegedly attacked his former fiancee will automatically be dismissed if he stays out of trouble for six months, a Southampton Town Court justice ruled Wednesday, Newsday's Mitchell Freedman reports. The adjournment in contemplation of dismissal ruling by Southampton Town Court Justice Andrea Schiavoni was for an incident last month in which Lohan's former fiancee, Kate Major, said he shoved and kicked her. Michael Lohan is the father of troubled actress Lindsay Lohan.

Forbes crowns Jay-Z king of hip-hop

Jay-Z reigns supreme on Forbes magazine's latest edition of its "Hip-Hop Cash Kings" list, which ranks the estimated earnings of hip-hop's biggest stars in the past year, Billboard.com reports. The rapper dwarfed his competition with $63 million earned in the past 12 months, according to the list. Sean "Diddy" Combs came in second with a gross of $30 million, while Akon racked up $21 million this year to earn third place.
