Al Roker set to run in NYC Marathon
Al Roker will be on the run come Nov. 7. That's the day of the 40th New York City Marathon, and the venerable "Today" weather forecaster - who lost 115 pounds via gastric bypass surgery eight years ago - will be among the more than 43,000 estimated runners pounding their way through the five-boroughcourse, Newsday contributor Frank Lovece reports. "This is his project, and I'll be there to cheer him on with a sign and to resuscitate him if need be - but I don't think I need to," said his wife, ABC News correspondent Deborah Roberts, 50, in People magazine. "I think he'll do just fine."

Suzanne Sanchez says her husband has apologized to Stewart personally. She said the ex-CNN anchor was trying to "make a broader point" when he accused CNN brass of discrimination, attacked Stewart and implied that Jews control the media. Rick Sanchez was fired by the cable news network Friday.
