Aiken, Baxter to speak at gay-rights event

More than a year after disclosing he is gay, Clay Aiken is speaking before a gay-rights event in his hometown. Aiken will deliver a speech about gay rights this weekend at the Human Rights Campaign Carolinas gala in Raleigh, The News & Observer of Raleigh reports. Actress Meredith Baxter, who recently said she is a lesbian, also will deliver a speech.

Woman sues rapper 50 Cent over sex tape

A Florida woman has sued rapper 50 Cent in Manhattan, claiming he unlawfully distributed her homemade sex tape over the Internet after editing himself into it as a wig-wearing narrator. Lastonia Leviston filed a lawsuit Wednesday claiming unauthorized use of her name or image as well as emotional distress caused by the public release of the tape she made with a lover in 2008. The suit claims 50 Cent posted the video on his Web site after blurring out the lover's face. His lawyer didn't respond to a phone message.
