Hurley and husband separate
British actress and model Elizabeth Hurley says she has separated from her husband of three years, Arun Nayar, The Associated Press reports. Hurley's announcement on her Twitter account comes amid reports in British tabloids linking her romantically to Australian cricket star Shane Warne. Warne on Monday confirmed he has also split from his wife. "Not a great day," Hurley, 45, tweeted Sunday. "For the record, my husband Arun & I separated a few months ago." They married in 2007 at a castle outside of London, following up the private civil ceremony with a lavish and traditional Hindu wedding in Jodphur, India.

At the last Oscars, five-time nominee Bridges won the best-actor prize for "Crazy Heart," while Bullock won best actress for "The Blind Side." Berry was named best actress for 2001's "Monster's Ball." Three-time nominee Tomei received the supporting-actress Oscar for 1992's "My Cousin Vinny." NBC banking on singing show for 'Idol' fans
NBC is banking on some reality show royalty to create a new singing competition to challenge "American Idol," the AP reports. The network said Monday that it will debut "The Voice of America" in the spring. Its format is based on a popular show in Holland where celebrities are paired with amateur singers in competition. The twist is the celebrities must pick their teams based solely on hearing their voices without seeing what the contestants look like. "Survivor" producer Mark Burnett and "Big Brother" producer John De Mol will work together on the series. NBC says it's not yet clear whether the show will compete directly with Fox's "American Idol," which traditionally ends its season in May. NBC usually airs the popular "America's Got Talent" competition in the summer.
