Amy Winehouse back to recording

Amy Winehouse is making music again, The Associated Press reports. Quincy Jones says the five-time Grammy winner's first new track in years will appear on his forthcoming album, "Q: Soul Bossa Nostra." Winehouse hasn't issued any new tunes since her critically acclaimed 2006 breakthrough CD, "Back to Black." The British songstress reunited with producer Mark Ronson to record the 1963 classic "It's My Party" for the album celebrating Jones' past hits. The music mogul produced the original Lesley Gore track.


Grammer backs conservative network

Kelsey Grammer is an investor and public face supporting a new network that launched Wednesday with entertainment designed to appeal to political conservatives, AP reports. RightNetwork's first series, "Running," follows the fortunes of a couple of tea-party-backed candidates for public office.


New reality show for former 'Hills' star?

Lauren Conrad's come down from "The Hills" and will perhaps go into another reality series, following the MTV hit, Newsday's special contributor Frank Lovece reports. Though Conrad, 24, did not confirm a new series in an interview with Us Weekly, an insider told the magazine she's not only getting her own show, but that networks are competing for the chance to run it.

Dave Matthews Band coming to Coliseum

The Dave Matthews Band announced its fall arena tour Wednesday - a tour that will bring the group to the Nassau Coliseum on Nov. 3. The band comes back to the area to play Madison Square Garden on Nov. 12-13. Tickets go on sale Sept. 24 through Ticketmaster.
