The End of Long Island is a reliable friend for cooped-up Uniondale couple

Isabelle Linares and her dog, restless Uniondale residents cooped up during the blizzard, take a stroll to the Montauk Lighthouse on Tuesday.
For some Long Islanders dealing with the snow, by Tuesday, they had finally, literally reached The End.
Saul and Isabelle Linares, 47, had been cooped up at home in Uniondale since Sunday, unable to go to work. By Tuesday, they decided to make the nearly 100-mile trip to Montauk Point.
"This is the third day, so we got bored and wanted to look and enjoy the snow," Saul Linares said. "We got 24 inches of snow and wanted to bring our dogs and see the end of the island. It's a lot of snow, it's crazy. We see a lot of people are slow coming back to work and it’s not completely open yet."
