The Mason Taylor-Geno Smith connection
Mason Taylor is one of the players Aaron Glenn expects to make a big jump this season. The second-year tight end has been working on his blocking and getting yards after the catch.
Taylor had a good camp and showed some chemistry with Geno Smith. The two spent a lot of time together training in South Florida before camp. Taylor said they would get together three or four times a week for an hour and a half on a turf field in the blazing hot sun.
“It was really good for us,” Taylor said. “You get on the same page, of course, with your starting quarterback. Being able to get those reps in the offseason is really important. But being there to help him get better and him to help me get better in the offseason was really good.”
