the summer can check out various public pools in the boroughs:

MANHATTANAsser Levy Playground:

392 Asser Levy Place. The Stuyvesant Town recreational facility boasts two outdoor pools for the summer.

Wagner Houses Pool: E. 124 St. Bet. 1 Ave. And 2 Ave. East Harlem residents can check out the popular spot. The 3-foot-6- deep space is ideal for all ages.

QUEENSAstoria Park: 19 St. bet. Astoria Park S. and Ditmars Blvd.: Even though the pool can fit nearly 3,000 swimmers, this splash zone gets packed quickly during the summer. Swimmers are treated to a great view of the Ed Koch Bridge and the skyline.

BRONX

Van Cortlandt Park: W. 242nd St. and Broadway: If you're willing to travel close to the border of Westchester, you can take a dip in the park's pool that is separated for experienced waders and those just looking for a quick splash.
