The newest member of the Romney family

Ann Romney (@AnnDRomney) just welcomed the family's newest member to the world, via Twitter.

"The newest member of the Romney clan at just one hour old!" she tweeted.

Romney spoke about her relationship with horses after a 1998 multiple sclerosis diagnosis on "Good Morning America" last year.

"I was very, very weak and very much worried about my life, thinking I was going to be in a wheelchair as well," she said. "Turned to horses, my life has been dramatically different. They gave me the energy, the passion to get out of bed when I was so sick that I didn't think I'd ever want to get out of bed."

Romney is also part-owner of a horse that competed in the Summer 2012 Olympics dressage event. Unfortunately, Rafalca did not score high enough to move on to the freestyle portion of the competition.
