Theater buzz: Karen Olivo quits acting

THE DEAL The actress, who originated the role of Vanessa in "In the Heights" and received a Tony for her performance as Anita in the 2009 revival of "West Side Story," says she's quitting acting. In a long and very emotional blog post titled "Starting Over," Olivo essentially said she lacks the motivation to continue being an actor. "My abilities have always been bigger than my desire to share them," she wrote. She also noted that she had just split from her second husband.
