These three coaches know all about winning
For three of Long Island's high school coaching legends, this spring has been a celebration.
Baseball coaches Bob Ambrosini of Connetquot and Sal Mignano of Shoreham-Wading River each earned his 500th victory. Mount Sinai boys lacrosse coach Joe Cuozzo will retire at the end of this season with more than 740 victories - the most of any high school lacrosse coach in the United States.
That's more than 1,700 combined victories, nearly 100 combined years of coaching experience, countless all-star players and many championship teams. And one more thing: a lifetime of memories.
Newsday brought them together for a photo session and conversation and asked each to relate his five most memorable moments.
