You've seen them up in the air -- now see them up close on the ground. The American Airpower Museum in Farmingdale will be open today and tomorrow for visitors who want to see some of the aircraft participating in the Bethpage Air Show at Jones Beach -- plus vintage military planes from World War II. Pilots and G.I. re-enactors will be on hand for questions and photo ops. There will be an armored parade led by a Sherman tank at 1 p.m.

3. International Music Nights

The free outdoor summer series at Eisenhower Park in East Meadow kicks off Friday with Bangledeshi Night, featuring music and dance from the South Asian country. The series continues through Aug. 26 with Polish-American Night (June 29), Latino-American Night (July 15) and Chinese-American Night (Aug. 12), among others. Bring chairs and blankets for seating.

Now she has two. The "Real Housewives of New Jersey" reality star signs her second bestselling cookbook, "Fabulicious!: Fast & Fit: Teresa's Low Fat, Super Easy Italian Recipes," at Book Revue in Huntington.

5. Strawberry Festival

Eat all the red, ripe gems you can handle at the Nassau County Strawberry Festival -- where the fruit is the main attraction. Feast on strawberry shortcake, chocolate-dipped strawberries, strawberry candy and daiquiris. There'll be flats of strawberries for sale along with rides, games and live entertainment, all hosted by the Lions and Kiwanis clubs of the Bellmores.

6. Peconic Quilt Show

Handmade quilts and clothing will be on display at this year's judged show in Riverhead. The show is themed "Life, Liberty and the Pursuit of Quilting." Quilter Phyllis Twigg Hatcher lectures on vintage quilts from the 1820s to the 1970s at 11 a.m. and 2 p.m. Saturday and noon and 2 p.m. on Sunday. Have a lovely quilt but don't know what it's worth? Written appraisals are available for $45.

7. Huntington walking tour and pub crawl

Enjoy a pint or two at one of the stops along the way on a historical walking tour and pub crawl around Huntington Thursday night. Town historian Robert C. Hughes leads the way, visiting three pubs that played a role in Huntington's history: Canterbury Ales, Finnegan's and Huntington Social.

8. Antique Auto Show

The Greater New York Region of the Antique Automotive Club of America brings out its best and brightest chrome for the annual Antique Auto Show on the grounds of Old Westbury Gardens. This year, the high-powered show features cars from various eras with a high-beam spotlight on the Ford's Shelby Mustang.

9. 'A Taste of Summer'

Get a taste of the East End -- in Nassau. For the first time, the Long Island Wine Council is bringing a showcase of more than 100 newly released local wines to Old Bethpage Village Restoration for tastings, paired with seasonal creations from chef Tom Schaudel.

10. Gottscheer Volksfest

Krainerwurst, bratwurst, frankfurters, anyone? Plattduetsche Park hosts a German-style outdoor picnic, complete traditional dance performances by adult and children's groups, plus a short concert by the Gottscheer Choirs and others.
