Back-to-back behind-the-back goals from Nick Galasso and Mike Sagl highlighted a 7-0 third quarter for the Lions. Galasso’s goal, off a feed from long-stick defender Liam Byrnes, made it 8-5 with 6:22 left. Sagl scored to the right of the cage off a Galasso pass with 4:31 left in the quarter to make it 9-5.

Andrew Hodgson then scored unassisted and later scored from Galasso. Galasso fed Federico for another goal to cap the third-quarter run.

To start the quarter, Sagl scored from Hodgson on a man-up goal with 9:50 left to put West Islip up 6-5. Joe Finnegan scored from Galasso to make it 7-5 with 8:02 remaining.

Galasso had one goal and five assists.
