Deja vu all over again

The situation was eerily similar to that of the previous night: Yankees trailing by two, tying run at the plate, down to their final out, same pitcher on the mound. More eerie was the result after Scott Brosius mimicked Tino Martinez's heroics by hitting a tying, two-run homer off Byung-Hyun Kim in the bottom of the ninth inning. Chuck Knoblauch singled to lead off the bottom of the 12th and came around to score on an RBI single by Alfonso Soriano as the Yankees defeated the Diamondbacks, 3-2, in Game 5 of the 2001 World Series to take a 3-2 series lead. The Yankees became the first team in postseason history to win two straight games when trailing after eight innings.
