Phil Simms passed for 409 yards, including 306 in the first half, and four touchdowns to lead the Giants to a 28-27 season-opening victory over the Philadelphia Eagles at Giants Stadium. Simms was 23-for-30 with no interceptions. Byron Williams caught five passes for 167 yards and one touchdown. Bobby Johnson caught eight passes for 137 yards and two touchdowns.
