Giants open Cowboys Stadium with win
The Giants sent the largest NFL regular-season crowd of 105,121 home unhappy and spoiled at the grand opening of Jerry Jones' $1.15-billion Cowboys Stadium by beating Dallas, 33-30. After Felix Jones' 7-yard touchdown run gave the Cowboys a 31-30 lead with 3:40 left, Eli Manning orchestrated a seven-play, 71-yard drive to set up Lawrence Tynes' 37-yard field goal as time expired. Tynes was forced to hit the field goal not once but twice after his first was nullified by a Cowboys timeout. Manning was 25-for-38 for 330 yards and two TDs. Dallas QB Tony Romo was 13-for-29 for 127 yards with one TD and three interceptions. Mario Manningham caught 10 passes for 150 yards and a touchdown and Steve Smith had 10 receptions for 134 yards and a touchdown.
