The Lions are no more

After just one season, the Brooklyn Lions folded, withdrawing from the NFL. The Lions had formed as a rival to the AFL's Brooklyn Horsemen and the franchises battled for fan support leading up to the season and the right to play at Ebbets field (the Lions won). Still, both franchies struggled mightily - financially and on the field - which led to a merger in November 1926. The teams combined and completed the season in the NFL. The Lions went 3-8, losing its final three games by a 64-0 margin and finished 14th in the standings.
