1. Bay Shore (20-0)
It was an idle week for Bay Shore, which had a first round bye in the playoffs. They'll look to continue their undefeated season on Tuesday. The Marauders have won 20 games for their 20th consecutive season -- a state record -- and have outscored opponents 224-14, including 13 shutouts.
2. East Meadow (16-1)
The top-seeded Jets advanced to the Class AA final with a thrilling, 2-1, 11th-inning win over Farmingdale on Friday. Christine Backer drove in Sam Miller on a suicide squeeze to end what was a drag-out pitcher's duel between Lindsay McKillop and Farmingdale's Isabella Corrao. McKillop gave up four hits and struck out 16. East Meadow will face MacArthur in Game 1 of the finals at 4 p.m. today.
3. Kings Park (20-1)
Lindsay Taylor threw a no-hitter with 14 strikeouts in a 5-1 win over Shoreham-Wading River in the first round of the Class A playoffs.
4. MacArthur (16-5)
The Generals pulled another upset in the Class AA playoffs, beating No. 2 Carey, 5-0, in the semifinals on Friday. Jena Cozza went 3-for-4 and scored the game's first run and Kristen Brown had six strikeouts in the shutout. MacArthur, the sixth seed, had defeated No. 3 Long Beach to advance.
5. Hauppauge (19-2)
Nicole Ehlinger struck out 11 in a one-hitter against Bayport-Blue Point in the first round of the Class A playoffs that Hauppauge won 10-0.
6. Floral Park (18-4)
Behind Samantha Giovaniello's one-hitter, the Knights beat New Hyde Park, 3-0, in the Class A semifinals on Friday. Floral Park, the No. 1 seed and defending state champion, will face No. 3 Plainedge in the best-of-three finals starting at 4 p.m. today.
7. Commack (18-3)
Commack advanced to the second round of the Class AA playoffs with an 8-2 win over Lindenhurst. Paige Swantek was 3-for-4 with two RBIs in the win.
8. Plainedge (16-5)
Nicole O'Connor's two-out, two-run single in the seventh gave the Red Devils a dramatic 3-2 win over No. 2 Seaford in the Class A semifinals on Friday.
9. East Islip (19-2)
The second-seeded Redmen fell to No. 15 Connetquot, 3-1, in the first round of the Class AA playoffs on Friday. It is only the fourth time a seed lower than 10 has knocked a two seed out of the playoffs.
10. St. Anthony’s (17-1)
Michelle Carbone pitched a three-hitter with five strikeouts in a 5-1 win over Holy Trinity in the double-elimination semifinal of the CHSAA playoffs. Carbone also had three hits.
