Three keys to victory for the Jets
The new-look Jets will host the Browns on Sunday afternoon to kick off their season. After a regime change in management and at the head coach position, the Jets will seek to rebound after a dismal 4-12 campaign in 2014. Here are three keys to victory for Gang Green.
Protect the ball
The Browns are a weak opponent, so the only way this game is in jeopardy is if the Jets beat themselves. Quarterback Ryan Fitzpatrick has 101 interceptions in 96 career games, but he has to make sure not to turn it over on Sunday.
Stay away from Haden
The Jets should target wideouts Brandon Marshall and Eric Decker early and often, but only when they aren't being covered by cornerback Joe Haden. He's one of the game's best and highest-paid corners and can make it a long day for Fitzpatrick.
Make McCown miserableJosh McCown, 36, threw more interceptions than touchdowns a season ago and isn't worthy of being a starting QB anymore. The Jets' front seven and stout secondary should make his day so difficult that the Browns eventually bring in Johnny Manziel.
